If you don't want to use water you can pop the cooled glass in the fridge and the print should pop off (make sure plate is room temp before putting in fridge)Ĭlean the glass with glass cleaner before applying the gluestick Glue stick is cheap and not as messy as hairspray which people also use. The print should pop off the plate when it cools but if the print sticks too well, the glue is water soluble so you can just soak the cooled glass in water and the print will slide off in a few minutes. If not use glue stick (any kind) thinly smeared on the plate, do that cold, let it dry (a minute or two) then heat the plate to print temps. If the glass is sticky out of the gate, great. Then if it still won't stick, try using glue stick for 10 prints or so - but smear it all over the glass - it will get cooked in over time and then perhaps you can go back to just glass. If your glass won't stick - try cleaning it with a real glass cleaner not IPA (and not Windex - that has too much water in it). Some glass is sticky, some is not, and the ones that are can loose their sticky over time. The glass gives great smooth bottoms and is more accurate (the bumps in the textured side are higher than leveling errors I tune out so you are already at a deficit) Use the glass side - the textured surface gets clogged quite quickly and then won't stick.
